The onion has a great nutritional value, and it can help reduce heart disease and improve blood flow in the body.

The good news is that it’s also easy to make.

Dr. Lustig, a professor of nutrition at New York University and author of the book The Art of Nutrition, tells The Huffington Post that you can get a great deal of nutrition out of one of the most popular vegetables in the world.

Here are his top tips for eating more of the world’s favorite vegetable.


Don’t eat onions on a regular basis Dr. Lustig says that a little goes a long way, and he recommends cutting down on the amounts you eat.

“I have to say that I’ve tried to keep my intake of onions low for years.

The only way to get that much is to cut out onions on the regular basis,” he says.


Look for vegetables that are good sources of fiber Dr. Lovig recommends a vegetable such as spinach, beets or carrots that is low in fat and has plenty of fiber.

“A lot of the time, the problem with low fat foods is that they don’t have the nutrients that they should,” he said.

“If you look for low fat vegetables that contain high amounts of fiber, you can expect a healthier diet.”


Get the whole food option A great way to cut back on the amount of processed food you eat is by getting whole foods in your meals.

“There are a number of different kinds of whole foods that you’re going to need.

You might need some greens,” he told HuffPost.

“Some of the vegetables you want to eat are beans, peas, lentils, etc.,” he added.

“When you get all of these whole foods, you’re actually going to get the whole nutrition that you need.”


Be sure to pick your vegetables wisely The way to pick out a great pick is to find the ones that you like, and then get them to the market for you.

“One thing that you might not know is that the best part of picking a good vegetable is that you pick it and the market knows what to do with it,” he explained.

“You can take it back to the farmer’s market, or you can go to the store and buy it yourself.”


Eat it fresh, often It’s not all about the freshness, and there are other benefits to eating it fresh in moderation, too.

“As you eat less and eat less of it, the body absorbs less,” he added, “and the food becomes more satiating.

Try eating in the morning Dr. Miran B. Lajovic, an associate professor of medicine at the Mayo Clinic, told HuffPost that if you are trying to lose weight, you should avoid eating at lunch or dinner.

Find a balanced diet If you’re on a strict diet, he said, it may not be possible to get enough protein, iron and magnesium.
